Healing from more than a decade of trauma is immensely challenging but there is a way forward.

The first step in this journey involves learning to express your emotions instead of bottling them up as holding onto pain only prolongs suffering.

When you suppress your emotions, they don’t just go away; they build up over time, creating a pressure cooker effect.

Eventually, they’ll find a way to escape, often in unhealthy or unexpected ways.

Acknowledging and expressing your feelings has proven to be the only way towards a complete recovery.

Finding Someone You Trust

You don’t need a large support network to start this process.

Often, having just one person you can trust and talk to makes all the difference. This could be a friend, family member, therapist or support group member.

The key is finding someone who listens without judgment and offers a safe space for you to express your feelings.

Therapeutic Activities

One effective way to let out your emotions is through writing.
